PS 229's After School Program has served at least 150 elementary students each year from the Woodside community through our COMPASS NYC programming. At the start of each day children are welcomed by their counselors and invited to have a healthy snack provided by School Food Services.  Alongside these recreational activities, we offer daily educational programs, like Junior Achievement which aims to continue the learning process after the school day has ended. Maspeth Town Hall welcomes all students of PS 229 from grades K - 5 into our After School program. We offer many activities that aim to create an enjoyable environment for children to learn and grow under the supervision and guidance of our caring Counselors and Specialists. Furthermore, at the end of each week, a "Student of the Week" award is given to a student who has shown exceptional behavior and interaction with their peers. We encourage all of our students to be role models. Our mission at Maspeth Town Hall is to create a safe learning environment where children can continue to excel mentally and physically.
