Dear PS229 Families,

Mark your calendars! You’re invited to an unforgettable event—PS229 Family Fun Day, happening on Saturday, May 3, 2025!

This isn’t just an ordinary day—it’s a celebration of our incredible kids and the amazing community that surrounds them. For our children, PS229 is more than just a school—it’s their second home. And on this special day, we’re opening that home to every parent, sibling, and family member to join in the joy, fun, and connection.

Organized by the PS229 PTA in partnership with Maspeth Town Hall, this day is about bringing families together and giving our children the chance to share their world—the school, the classmates they talk about, and the playgrounds they love—with the people they love most.

It’s going to be the most fun possible—right here at their home away from home.

This day is also a beautiful opportunity for parents to meet one another—to connect with the families behind the names your children talk about every day. It’s how we build a stronger PS229 community—not just as classmates, but as neighbors, supporters, and friends.

Because when our kids see their families coming together, it strengthens their sense of belonging, pride, and confidence. When we, as parents, support and lift each other up, it transforms a school into something even more powerful: a united community.

Since this is a PTA-sponsored event, we ask that each child is accompanied by a parent or guardian. Your presence ensures a fun, safe, and meaningful day for everyone.
