Dear Parents and Guardians;
The Town Hall event with the Chancellor scheduled for December 17, 2019 has been
Cancelled.
Lost and Found continues to be overflowing with jackets, sweaters, lunch boxes and assorted books and folders. If your child has lost an item please collect by December 20 2019 as all will
be donated at the end of December.
Kindergarten Registration for students born in 2015:
If your child was born in 2015, it’s time to start thinking about kindergarten for the 2020/2021 school year. Registration will begin on December 11, 2019 parents, may apply at Family Welcome Center located at 28-11 Queens Plaza North – Long Island City.
or by calling 718 – 935-2009. Deadline to submit an application is January 21, 2020. Last fall, the Department of Education launched a new application website called MySchools that allows families to submit their application.

- Winter Break – December 23, 2019 to January 1, 2020 – students return January 2, 2020
- January 13, 2020 – Danger of Vaping – 9:00 am
- January 15, 2020 – Stress Reduction
Assessment Calendar:
- New York State ELA – March 25-26, 2020
- New York State Math – April 22-23, 2020

November Food Drive
We collected approximately 600lbs of food.
It is being donated to St. Mary's food pantry - Woodside New York.
The top class was 3-1; they donated the most.
Once again the students and parents of 229 were outstanding.
